Barry Boffy

Barry Boffy is the Head of Inclusion & Diversity for British Transport Police (BTP) in England, Scotland and Wales; joining the force in January 2007. Barry has campaigned tirelessly for better diversity and inclusion practices in policing and Chair’s Tell MAMA’s pan-London Advisory Board, is an Ethics Associate on the London Police Challenge Forum and has been a Judge for the No2H8 Crime Awards since 2017. Barry was honoured to have been presented with a Highly Commended ‘Julie Barnes Frank Award for Excellence in LGBT Policing’ and was announced as the winner of the Inclusive Companies Awards ‘Diversity Champion Award’ for the Public Sector in 2018. In early 2019, Barry accepted an invitation to join the Board of the UK’s Institute of Equality & Diversity Professionals (IEDP). Speaking of the Pride 365 initiative, Barry recognises the power of being able to be his authentic self all year round, and the privilege to be able to encourage true LGBT+ inclusion alongside such an inspirational group of role models.
